Rapid Extraction Module (REM)
REMS teams are responsible for rescue operations on the wildland fireline. These teams are responsible for rescues and patient care in austere environments utilizing high and low angle rescue. Physical fitness is a must, as one may be tasked to hike miles down fire lines, over mountainous terrain, and extract firefighters to a place where ambulances or helicopters can access them.

Rapid Access Team (RAT)
2-person team with UTVs
Single Role EMTs & Medics
Blackwoods also deploys single role Paramedics and EMT’s. These positions require a 4WD vehicle to use on the line.
